Plain English summary: Tools are free and provided as-is. You are responsible for the files and content you process and for following the laws that apply to you. We don't monitor what you do with the tools. We're not liable for damages caused by use of the site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using wildandfreetools.com (the "Site") and any of its tools, pages, or services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

WildandFree Tools provides a collection of browser-based utilities and reference content, all made available free of charge. Tools run locally in your browser. The Service does not require account registration, and we do not receive or store files you process with our tools.

3. User Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for any file, document, image, text, audio, video, or other content ("User Content") that you process, generate, upload, paste, drag-drop, or otherwise interact with using the Service.

This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that:

You own the User Content or have all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to use and process it.
Processing the User Content does not violate any applicable law, regulation, contract, intellectual property right, privacy right, or right of publicity of any person or entity.
The User Content does not contain material that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
You comply with any confidentiality, employer, client, or regulatory obligations that apply to the User Content.

Because our tools operate locally in your browser, User Content is not transmitted to or stored by us. We have no ability to review, monitor, screen, or moderate User Content, and we do not do so. You bear full responsibility for every aspect of what you do with the Service.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
Infringe any copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, or other intellectual property right.
Process content that depicts child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") or any other content that is illegal to possess or distribute in your jurisdiction.
Create, process, or distribute content designed to deceive, defraud, harass, threaten, or endanger any person.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape at a rate that burdens our infrastructure, or otherwise interfere with the Service or its security.
Use automated systems to access the Service in a way that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce in the same period.
Bypass, disable, or interfere with any security or access-control features of the Service.
Use the Service to develop a competing product or to aggregate, redistribute, or resell our content without written permission.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the tools, user interfaces, code, designs, logos, and written content, is owned by WildandFree Tools or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission, except for your own User Content and for normal personal or internal business use of the tools as offered.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, reliable, or free of viruses or harmful components. We do not warrant that any particular tool will produce a particular result, that output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose, or that data processed locally by any tool will not be lost due to browser behavior, device failure, or other causes outside our control.

You use the Service at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WILDANDFREE TOOLS, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, arising out of or relating to your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service; any content obtained from the Service; any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein; or any bugs, viruses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the Service by any third party.

Because the Service is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100), to the extent such limitation is enforceable under applicable law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WildandFree Tools and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or any third-party right.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may link to or integrate with third-party websites, services, or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and that third party.

10. DMCA / Copyright Complaints

If you believe that content accessible on or through the Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to [email protected] including: (a) a description of the copyrighted work; (b) the URL of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.

11. Accessibility Commitment

We want our Service to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our tools and content, including with respect to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) where reasonably practical. Accessibility is an ongoing effort — not all pages and tools are fully accessible today, and we welcome feedback.

12. Changes to the Service and Terms

When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We may restrict or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. The disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and intellectual property provisions will survive termination.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be a waiver of that right or provision. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and WildandFree Tools regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
