YouTube Channel Keywords Extractor

Reveal the SEO keywords any YouTube channel has set in its Channel Settings. These are the channel-level tags YouTube uses to classify and recommend the channel. Copy them for competitor research.

Accepts: channel URL, @handle, channel ID (UC...), legacy /c/name or /user/name, or any video URL — we'll resolve to the channel that uploaded it.

YouTube has a hidden SEO field most creators ignore: channel keywords. Set once in Channel Settings, they tell YouTube what the channel is broadly about — think of them as tags for the whole channel, not a single video. This tool reveals any public channel's keyword list so you can see what your competitors target.

What are YouTube channel keywords?

Channel keywords are SEO tags the channel owner sets in YouTube Studio (Settings → Channel → Keywords). They tell YouTube what the channel is broadly about — separate from per-video tags. They help YouTube suggest the channel in search and recommendations.

Why would I look at another channel's keywords?

Competitor research. Channels that already rank in your niche have figured out which keywords YouTube associates them with. Borrow or adapt the ones that fit your channel too.

What if the channel has no keywords?

Lots of creators never set channel keywords — it's a tucked-away setting. If the list is empty, that channel is missing a free SEO opportunity. You'll see "No channel keywords set" instead of the list.

How do I set keywords on my own channel?

YouTube Studio → Settings (bottom left) → Channel → Basic info. Paste a space-separated list, with multi-word keywords in quotes. Example: fitness "home workout" yoga "weight training".

What inputs does this accept?

Channel URL, @handle, legacy /c/ or /user/ URLs, channel ID (UC...), or any video URL — we'll find the channel that uploaded it.
