What's the difference between A4 and Letter?

A4 (210 x 297mm / 595 x 842pt) is the international standard. US Letter (8.5 x 11in / 612 x 792pt) is used in North America. A4 is slightly narrower and taller. Legal (8.5 x 14in / 612 x 1008pt) is the same width as Letter but 3 inches taller — used for legal documents.

Does resizing affect quality?

Content is scaled proportionally. For similar sizes (A4 to Letter), the difference is minimal. For large size changes, text and images scale accordingly. Vector content (text, shapes) scales perfectly. Raster images may appear slightly softer if scaled up significantly.
