Preview any font file directly in your browser without installing it. Upload a TTF, OTF, or WOFF file and instantly see the typeface rendered at seven different sizes from 12px to 72px. Inspect the full character map, view detailed metadata including designer, license, and supported character sets, and export a specimen sheet as a PNG image. Everything runs locally in your browser — no files are uploaded to any server.

How do I preview a font file before installing it?

Drag and drop your font file onto this page or click to select it from your file system. The tool accepts TTF (TrueType), OTF (OpenType), and WOFF (Web Open Font Format) files. Once uploaded, the font is parsed directly in your browser using opentype.js and rendered at seven sizes: 12px, 16px, 20px, 24px, 32px, 48px, and 72px. You can type custom text, toggle between dark and light backgrounds, and browse the full ASCII character map — all without installing the font on your operating system.

What font metadata does this tool show?

The Font Previewer reads the font's internal name tables to extract the family name, subfamily (Regular, Bold, Italic, etc.), version string, designer name, and license information. It also reports the total glyph count and detects supported character sets by scanning Unicode code page ranges in the OS/2 table — including Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean), Thai, and more. This gives you a complete picture of the font's capabilities before committing to using it in a project.

Can I save or share font previews without sending the font file?

Yes. Click the "Download Specimen as PNG" button to render the entire preview — text at all seven sizes plus the character map — onto a canvas and export it as a high-resolution PNG image. This specimen sheet is useful for design reviews, font comparison documents, client presentations, or internal documentation. You share the image instead of the font file, which avoids licensing complications when showing font options to stakeholders who don't need the actual font installed.
