Build cron expressions visually or type them directly. See a plain English description and the next 5 scheduled runs.

Build cron expressions without memorizing the syntax. Use the simple visual builder to pick a frequency and schedule, or switch to advanced mode to write raw cron strings. Either way, you get a plain English description and the next 5 execution times so you can verify the schedule before deploying. Ideal for Linux crontab, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes CronJobs, AWS CloudWatch, or any system that uses standard 5-field cron expressions.

    What is a cron expression?

A cron expression is a string of five fields separated by spaces that defines a schedule for recurring tasks. The fields represent minute (0-59), hour (0-23), day of month (1-31), month (1-12), and day of week (0-6, where 0 is Sunday). For example, "0 9 * * 1" means every Monday at 9:00 AM.

How do I use the cron generator?

Use Simple mode to pick a frequency (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly) and fill in the relevant options. Or switch to Advanced mode to type a raw cron expression directly. Both modes show a human-readable description and the next 5 execution times.

What does */5 mean in cron?

The */5 syntax means "every 5th interval." In the minute field, */5 means every 5 minutes (0, 5, 10, 15...). In the hour field, */5 means every 5 hours. You can use any number: */2 means every 2nd, */10 means every 10th, and so on.

    What is the cron format?

Standard cron uses 5 fields: minute (0-59), hour (0-23), day of month (1-31), month (1-12), and day of week (0-6, where 0 is Sunday). Special characters include * (any value), */n (every nth interval), specific values, and comma-separated lists (e.g. 1,15 for the 1st and 15th).
