How does a color palette generator work?

Pick a base color, then choose a harmony type (complementary, analogous, triadic, split-complementary, or monochromatic). The generator uses HSL color math to calculate colors that naturally look good together based on color theory principles.

What is the difference between complementary and analogous color schemes?

Complementary colors sit opposite each other on the color wheel (180 degrees apart) and create high contrast. Analogous colors sit next to each other (within 30 degrees) and create smooth, harmonious palettes with low contrast.

Can I export my palette for use in code?

Yes. Click Export CSS to copy CSS custom properties (--color-1 through --color-5) or Export Tailwind to copy a Tailwind config color object. You can also click any swatch to copy its HEX value individually.
