A standard t-shirt front print area is 12 x 16 inches. For sharp prints at 300 DPI, your design file should be 3600 x 4800 pixels. At minimum (150 DPI), you need 1800 x 2400 pixels, but 300 DPI always delivers the best results. Print areas vary by placement -- left chest is typically 4 x 4 inches (1200 x 1200 pixels at 300 DPI), while a full front covers 14 x 18 inches.
Upload your design file after selecting your product and print area. This calculator checks your image dimensions against the recommended pixel size (300 DPI for sharp prints) and the minimum acceptable size (150 DPI). You get an instant pass, warning, or fail result with the exact numbers you need.
300 DPI is the standard for sharp, professional prints on apparel. 150 DPI is the floor for acceptable quality -- anything lower will look blurry or pixelated when printed. This calculator shows both the recommended (300 DPI) and minimum (150 DPI) pixel sizes for every product and print area combination.
