Tutorials, presentations, and product demos look more engaging when viewers can see your face while you walk them through the screen. The free screen recorder does both at once — your screen fills the frame while a circular webcam bubble sits in the corner, showing your face and reactions in real time.

No video editing needed. No separate camera app running alongside a screen recorder. No syncing two files in post-production. One tool, one click, one file with everything baked in.

How to Add a Webcam Bubble to Your Screen Recording

  1. Open the screen recorder.
  2. Toggle Screen Capture ON.
  3. Toggle Webcam ON. Your browser will request camera permission — click Allow.
  4. A circular webcam preview appears. You can see yourself before recording starts.
  5. Toggle Microphone ON for voiceover narration.
  6. Click Start Recording and choose what to share (entire screen, window, or tab).
  7. The webcam bubble appears in the recording as a draggable circle. Move it to any corner by clicking and dragging.

The webcam bubble is mirrored (like a selfie camera) so your movements feel natural while recording. The final video output is not mirrored — viewers see you correctly.

Where to Place the Webcam Bubble

Default position: bottom-right corner. This works for most tutorials because the main action happens in the center and upper portions of the screen.

Move it if your content has important elements in the bottom-right — for example, a chat window, a toolbar, or a code terminal. Drag the bubble to the bottom-left or top-right.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I resize the webcam bubble?

The bubble has a fixed size (140px on desktop, 100px on mobile). You can reposition it by dragging, but resizing is not available. For a custom webcam size, record screen and webcam separately, then combine using our picture-in-picture video tool.

Does the webcam recording have audio?

The webcam provides video only. Audio comes from the Microphone toggle. Enable both Webcam and Microphone to get face video with voice narration.

Can I turn off the webcam mid-recording?

You cannot toggle the webcam on/off during an active recording. Set your preferences before clicking Start. If you need to hide your face temporarily, you can cover the webcam physically.
