On Mac

  1. Open Crop Video in Safari or Chrome
  2. Drag your video from Finder into the tool
  3. Select aspect ratio (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) or drag custom handles
  4. Position the frame on the part of the video you want to keep
  5. Download — cropped MP4 saves to Downloads

Mac tips: Chrome gives better performance than Safari for large video files. M1/M2/M3 Macs crop very fast — typically under 30 seconds even for long videos.

On Windows

  1. Open Crop Video in Chrome or Edge
  2. Drop from File Explorer
  3. Crop and download

Windows reality: There is no built-in video cropper on Windows. The Photos app can trim video length but cannot crop the frame. Microsoft's Clipchamp requires an account. The browser tool fills this gap with zero friction.
